Deixar que o network-manager faça as configurações no linux

editar o arquivo /etc/network/interface e comentar as linhas:

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface

#iface eth0 inet dhcp

Se quiser especificar um IP fixo: Entrar em configurações de rede

Servidor DNS.

Depois reconectar
/etc/init.d/network-manager restart
